Pet a puppy...for charity!
Because no one deserves to live in poverty
Pet-a-Puppy Picnic For Charity A Project of 2017 Night of A Thousand "Dinner Parties"
Pet-a-Puppy Picnic for Charity
You are officially invited to our new puppy Avon's meet-n-greet picnic in honor of the non-profit A Wider Circle, where Avon's aunt (and Alena's sister) Emma works. Their Night of a Thousand Dinner Parties event supports the movement to end poverty and the charity work of the organization. We will be hosting a picnic at Boston Public Garden starting at 3pm on June 24th. Avon needs as much socialization as possible while she is still a young puppy so the more the merrier; kids, friends, significant others – all are welcome!
A little bit more about Emma's organization: A Wider Circle's mission is to help one individual and one family after another rise out of poverty. They work seven days a week, 365 days a year because nobody they serve is in poverty Monday-Friday from 9:00-5:00. Their holistic approach focuses on the provision of basic need items, workforce development, wraparound support, and neighborhood revitalization. These programs work in concert to help those they serve reach a place of stability – with their basic needs met – and then a place of independence, for it is independence that best characterizes the rise out of poverty. The people who come to A Wider Circle for assistance are often transitioning out of homelessness, escaping domestic violence, or simply living without the essentials of life that so many of us take for granted.Food & drinks will be provided, and we ask that in honor of the event you make a donation to A Wider Circle – whatever amount you wish. June is A Wider Circle's Matching Gifts Month, so all donations will be doubled up to a certain amount.
Please let me know if you are planning to attend so we can plan on how much food to bring. We are so grateful for your participation in the movement to end poverty and Avon can't wait to meet you!! Cheers and hope to see you then <3
